Group Scout Leader
Rory Wilson
Rory has overall responsibility for the scout group and ensures that the group runs as effectively as possible and that it continues to grow and develop in accordance with the rules of the Scout Association. He is also part of the district senior team running scouting in the Saffron Walden area as well as many other roles across the district. Rory is the link between the MOD and the Scout Group and lead instructor for the Carver Barracks side of the group
Board of Trustees
The Executive Committee shapes and approves the strategy of The Group and monitors our performance against that strategy.
Assistant Group Scout Leader
Sgt Stephen Johnson
Stephen has is responsibility for our group events and works with Rory to ensure that they are delivered to a high standard. He is a key part in the day to day running of the Group and is Rory’s right hand man when it comes to all things outdoors.

Assistant Group Scout Leader Young Leader/ ESL Liaison

We are looking for someone to help to support scout group, develop our young leadership functionality. Working directly with the local Explorer Leaders to ensure the ongoing support and development of the program and facilitate the moving up process. Working as part of the senior leadership team to develop the group and its young people.
